The HEAT Program is now taking applications throughout the year. The HEAT Program provides utility assistance for families whose income is at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If you would like to apply for the HEAT appointment, you can apply online, mail in, or by appointment.
To schedule your appointment you must call the appropriate HEAT phone number in the county that you live in.
NO WALK IN APPOINTMENTS ACCEPTED YOU MUST CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT!

Mail-in applications are recommended for clients that do not live near a local HEAT office. All copies of verifications sent must be clear and legible. MAIL-IN applications are the better alternative, rather than waiting for a scheduled outreach in your area.
In order to apply online you must have; a valid email address, be an adult resident of Utah with a physical address, have utility service with one of our vendors, Your utilities must not be scheduled for shut-off, you must have income, and everyone in the household must be a U.S. citizen.
It is also recommended you be computer literate, capable of downloading and scanning documents. If you are not comfortable with the online application process then applying by appointment or mail may be the quicker and easier method.
